The domestic narrative project, aims at bringing clarity to the way Bahrainis use the domestic space through a process of mapping direct observation. Each participant is asked to map, during the period of one month, the occupation of spaces in the house at during a 24h hours and their family members within the space. Use
This mapping is based on both the participants’ direct observation, as well, on an interview to the remaining occupants of the house to fill in the gaps of information in his/her periods of absence. The mapping is a record Bahraini domestic activity in their house but also an attempt to decode potential patterns of behavior from space arrangement of the house or the apartment.
